Christmas Eve

Today was a nice relaxing day!  We stayed home all day and just enjoyed the day!  Colby played and played and at one point had Boomer in the craft room "playing" with her.  He was a good boy and just laid on some pillows while she sat next to him and talked to him!  In the afternoon Grammie came over (during dress up time) to give Colby her gift!  It was bath tub paints and Colby was very anxious to try them out!  She declared that it was bath time right then and there!  Of course she had to wait but she was very excited all the same.  Colby gave Grammie her present and played with her and gave her lots of love and wished her Merry Christmas before Grammie had to go.  After Grammie left, Colby turned her attention back to Boomer and chased him all through the house multiple times yelling, "Wait for me Boomer Dog!"  It was so cute and it was the perfect exercise right before nap time!  She fell right asleep!  When she woke up she was quite a grump but was in a better mood once it was bath time!  She took a long bath and played with her paints and all of her other toys!  She was in a very silly mood!  At one point we heard a noise out back and thought that it might be Santa so we had to listen with our ears...while we were listening Colby said, "Ho, ho, ho!" and then, "I heard Santa!"  It was adorable!  Eventually bath time had to end and Colby was adamant that she was not wearing jammies - she was going to get dressed and wear Dora clothes.  This worked out perfectly because I was wanting her to wear her Dora jammies which happen to be pants and a shirt (so she was easily convinced that they were clothes).  She looks so cute in them!  After she was "dressed" and had her hair combed she ran off to dance to Jingle Bell Rock with Daddy in the kitchen!  Then Daddy let her  play with his new sampling workstation (don't ask me)!  She loved all the difference noises!  Then she whined and begged to go out in the garage to watch Mater and swing high.  Daddy is a softy so I got her all bundled up while he heated up the garage!  Since it is Christmas Eve I added a Santa hat to her bundling!  Now she is watching Mickey's Christmas Carol and then going to bed!  I can't wait to see what Santa brings her and to see her face in the morning!
