Easter weekend was a lot of fun! Erin came down for the weekend and we all decorated eggs Saturday afternoon. Colby was very adamant to be the dipper and she quickly took over one of the dipping sticks and a cup! It kept her busy while the rest of the eggs were soaking up their colors! Once they were done she happily applied stickers and some glitter glue. It was funny to watch her do the glitter because she would get a big glob on there and then say she was done! There was no thin layer that the instructions outlined! On Sunday Colby woke up to find that the Easter bunny had left some goodies in her room while she was sleeping! She woke up and stayed on her bed and called me in to show me what the Easter Bunny had left! Then she said she wanted to show Daddy and Auntie Erin! I didn’t want to wake up Erin so we went and told Daddy but he was no fun and wouldn’t get out of bed! Colby didn’t let that distract her for too long because she was quickly back off to her room so that she could open all of her goodies! She had a blast opening the gifts and seeing all the candy! After that we ate breakfast and hung out for a little bit until it was time for the Easter egg hunt! Colby’s cousins, Mickayla and Steve, came over to help her hunt up the eggs and all of them had a blast! Colby was just so excited to have friends over to play with that she was more into asking if they would jump on her trampoline with her rather than hunting for eggs! It was cute though and she tried to eat a piece of chocolate that she found in an egg but apparently it had been in the sun and came out of the wrapper in a liquid form! After a quick clean up she was up on the trampoline jumping away and finally got her cousins up there too! Then she was ready to swing so the big kids were jumping and Colby was swinging while all the grown ups chatted! It was a great Easter and Colby seemed to really enjoy it! Next year she will have a little brother or sister to hunt eggs with!
