Fun with Bubbles, Bubs, Boomer, and a Bee

Even though it was still hot as the dickens I took Colby outside to play on Sunday afternoon. We started off by playing with bubbles. It started out with her blowing bubbles but after several failed attempts she let Mommy blow the bubbles and she chased and popped them. This lasted for quite some time until she got upset that she couldn't reach some of them. After this revelation, she informed me that she was going to go talk to Bubs (aka Basinji). Off she went to talk to him and then she just followed him around the yard for awhile. Boomer got a little jealous and decided it was time to play ball, so Colby obliged and threw the ball a few times. Unfortunately for Boomer, Colby gets grossed out once the ball is all slobbery and won't touch it. So after a quick game of ball, she found a poor little dead bee on the patio. (For all of you that know me well, I did not let her kill the bee. It was already dead and she wouldn't have been able to mess with it otherwise.) She was amazed that the bee looked fuzzy and was just laying there. Then she slid for awhile, but was bored and she just looked hot so Mommy made it rain (with the hose) and she ran around in the "rain" naked for awhile. It turned out to be a very hot, but very fun Sunday afternoon! Y

So sad because she can't reach the bubbles! (Pitiful, right?!)
