Colby celebrated her third birthday at her gym with lots of friends! It was great to see her enjoy the gym with all of her friends – and to see them enjoy it as well! Even the bigger kids like it which is great! They played lots of games and even had a puppet show/song with some fish! They got to play hide and seek with the girls running the party! Right before cake Colby got to be the star of her own parade (she did insist that her friend Adam join her on the sled)! Miss Allison pulled Colby around the gym in a sled with a tiara and “magic wand” and all the kids followed while a birthday princess song played! Then Colby got to swing while everyone sang her Happy Birthday but I think that was a little overwhelming because we had a few tears until we told her it was time to go eat cake! She did a fabulous job blowing out all of her candles and thoroughly enjoyed her Mike Wazowski cake (from Monsters Inc.). (Mommy had one heck of a time putting that cake together – thank goodness Auntie Abra came over to help!) All of the kids seemed to enjoy cake time too and after they finished they got to go back in the gym to all take a turn on the zipline (always a popular ride)! After that the party started to wrap up and after some careful maneuvering we were able to leave Colby’s tiara and wand behind and head home! Back at home, Mimi, Papa, Mickayla, & Stevie came over to help Colby open her gifts. She was a little sleepy but she got through all of her gifts (it felt like Christmas morning all over again)! She got so many lovely things and she has been in heaven this week playing with all of her new things! After Mimi & Papa headed home we ate dinner and then Colby came and snuggled with me on the couch and within five minutes she was fast asleep! Now this is super unusual for her – she is the child that will fight falling asleep tooth and nail and has only fallen asleep snuggling on the couch one other time when she was sick! It was nice to sit and snuggle and watch her sleep though! She napped for two hours and still went to bed at her regular time! She literally partied until she dropped! It was a very fun day! I just can’t believe she is 3 already!!!
