My First Thanksgiving

Colby had a great first Thanksgiving! She started out a happy baby early in the morning (at about 5:30 am) and was a good girl for most of the day! She got up and dressed in her Thanksgiving dress and then had a homemade breakfast of bananas and avocado. After that she played and helped me in the kitchen getting some things ready for the day. We all watched the majority of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but Colby was ready for a nap about halfway through. I was a busy bee while she was napping getting everything ready. When she woke up she had her lunch - sweet potatoes and green beans (also homemade)! Then she played some more and walked around in her walker - in and out of the kitchen to check on Mommy! Finally dinner was ready and Colby had some fresh turkey, mashed potatoes and corn straight from the table! She seemed to enjoy it, but I think she was full pretty quickly! Finally she had a Thanksgiving Day bath (in the big tub) and then had a bedtime bottle and hit the hay...for about two hours! Then she was up and fussing for another two hours! We figured out the cause for all the fussing the next afternoon when I felt the tip of one of her top teeth broken through her gums! Finally she was out for good and slept the rest of Thanksgiving day away! Overall it was a memorable day for all of us - little Colby's first Thanksgiving!!! Y

A happy baby Thanksgiving morning!!

Look at that messy hair!

All decked out in her Thanksgiving garb - and still a happy baby!!

Mmm...homemade breakfast!!

Playing with Mr. Pickles!

Hanging out with Mommy in the kitchen - snacking on a "wagon-wheel"

Playing again! It looks like she's working on the splits!

Colby and Daddy getting the drinks ready!!

What a silly girl - here's the "kissy-fishy" face again after she tried some cranberry sauce!

Mmm - turkey, potatoes and corn!!

Finishing off by feeding herself some of Mommy's roll (with a side of hand)!
